Just to the right of these pads was a piece of blue plastic, part of the assembly holding the foam pads, it seems, because very gentle downward pressure on this blue I have rebooted several times. If they dropped the ink price by a half, I would buy it. I GENTLY put a screwdriver against the front edge and GENTLY pushed it 1/4" to the rear. Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping. There is no paper jam and nothing with the ink area has workied.
I powered the printer on and off again and it's up and running again. I kept hoping to find a tiny piece of paper or foreign object...but no such luck. It really doesn't take much. I do not have a program resetter for Canon Pixma IP4300 printer but luckily I found a manual method to solve the error.

Ieven looked at printer for sale on the website! The “L” shaped piece was moved back out of its place. Add × Loading... It turned out to be stuck in a kind of upward position and somehow the mechanism that moves the tray is released so nothing happens when you switch on the printer.Touching

The only place to get a hold of it is inside at the very top, left and right side. If there is, remove it or your problem is likely to return. When that didn't solve the problem, they sent me a refurbished unit. Went through a few possible solutions and then they said they will send me another new printer (Printer # 4). Pulled and pushed clear plastic wiper (north of purge unit) and wiped it down8. the picture really helped!! What could be preventing it from moving? The mechanism that drives the sliding squeegie relies on a spring for it to return.

If it still has ink do a print head clean. You are the best. Incidentally, I also have an IP4000 on my teen's PC but haven't had any issues with that printer. I have even tried vacuuming out around the output slot roller and inside but still no luck. Solution:I followed BAB and briceg's advice after trying a lot on my own.
I have good technical skills and with the right parts & info I am sure I can get it working again. ip4000. Just bought some new cartridges and errror code.
