Check for any crud-stuff in the machine especially in the ink purge area. I'm not very good with these kind of things, but it worked! Canon Error Code 6a00 Saw immediately a plastic T from a clothes tag that had gotten in there somehow (probably because I had dropped in in there when I was removing the tag from a Canon Mp610 Error 6a00 The "sponges" are located on the right under where the ink cartridge carrier "rests".

It managed to clear it the first time by simply turning off and on but it has happened again.
